NELLIE FEDORUK (nee SOBKOWICH) July 24, 1918 July 9, 2007 She passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Vivian (Wayne); son George (Darlene); grandchildren, Kim (Serge), Stacey (Brian) and Jaclyn; great-grandchildren, Sam and Jack. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Mary, Margaret and Bertha and sister-in-law Anne. Nellie was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Lena Sobkowich, her husband Mike, brothers John, Joe, Stanley, Henry and sister Anne. She was born and raised in Rossdale, Manitoba and for a short time after she was married, lived in Winnipeg. In 1944 she moved to Meadowdale, MB where she lived until 1983. She moved back to Winnipeg, where she lived for 25 years. Nellie loved people and always had a smile on her face. She was happiest around her family and friends. She was an active member of many social clubs which included St. Anthony's Senior Social Club, St. Nick's Senior's Club and the Luther Home Adult Day Program. Nellie will be sadly missed by everyone. Funeral Services at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 260 Burrin Ave., Winnipeg, MB at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 13. Interment at the parish cemetery of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Rossdale with lunch to follow at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, if you wish donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Box 530 Donald Rd., Lockport, MB, R1A 3K4.
