She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Michael and wife Merilyn, Jason and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Keri and husband Trevor Zielinski, Kris and wife Suzanne, Dustin and girlfriend Michelle, Stacy and boyfriend Ryan, Cam and girlfriend Melissa; great-granddaughter Alexa; as well as her sister Jean (Russell) Yeo and brothers, Steve (Josie) and Lawrence. She grew up in Beaconia, MB and later moved to Winnipeg to work in the garment trade. Mom met Dad at a dance in Beaconia, which was the start of a wonderful courtship and they married June 30, 1951. They resided in Thalberg, MB and were blessed with two sons. They farmed for many years and were later employed by Natural Resources at White Lake in the Whiteshell. Mom was very proud to have completed 25 years of service there. To Mom, family was everything. She was happiest when her family was gathered around her table while she nourished us with plenty of food and lots of laughter. Mom was a very caring, loving and generous person who enjoyed the great outdoors, bingo, driving her car and telling stories from long ago. Mom was a small woman with a big heart, who lived life to the fullest on her own terms. Until we meet again.
