ANDREW (ANDY) REIMER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Andy due to post-surgery complications on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 71. Andy was born on April 13, 1936, near Winkler, Manitoba, and resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is survived by his companion and life partner Pat Gibson, her daughter Jodi Gibson of Kenora, Ontario, his daughter Patricia Reimer, son-in-law David Campbell, and granddaughter Bronwyn of Elora, Ontario; two brothers Jake (Beatrice) of Morden, Dave (Susan) of Winkler and his four sisters Kathy of Winnipeg, Ann Salazar (Joe) of Morden, Susan Mustard (Jim) of Portage La Prairie and Mary Howard of Toronto. He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and their children, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Justina Reimer of Winkler. Andy will be lovingly remembered for his easy-going nature, his sense of humour and his generous spirit. He retired from Weldwood/Canwel after 38 years in sales and enjoyed many years of active retirement. He enjoyed many afternoons and charity functions with his buddies at the St. James Men's Group and visiting with his pals at the Maxwell Colony. Andy was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golf, loved to travel and spent many weekends in Kenora where he relaxed, puttered about and spent time cruising on Lake of the Woods. He was everyone's main man. The family would like to extend a personal thank you to all the doctors and nurses in I.C.U. and 4th Floor at the Grace Hospital. Cremation has taken place and to celebrate Andy's life, family and friends will gather at the Deer Lodge Community Club, 323 Bruce Ave., Winnipeg, MB, on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of one's choice in Andy's memory is appreciated.
