DORIS ELEANOR BENSON Peacefully on July 10, 2007, Doris Benson passed away at Central Park Lodge on Poseidon. She is survived by her only son Randy (Linda) Benson of Calgary. Doris was born on August 9, 1924 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was known throughout her life for her musical and acting talents. She not only taught music, piano, voice and elocution, she also performed on Rainbow Stage, Studio Two and the Manitoba Theatre Centre. She was a passionate member of different church choirs, Oxford United, Westworth United, The Church of the Way and finally of St. Andrew's River Heights United Church. She also participated in both Westworth and St. Andrew's women's groups. The family would like to thank the staff of Central Park Lodge for their loving care and concern offered at this last stage of Doris' life. A Service of Thanksgiving for Doris' life will take place, with Rev. Janet Walker officiating, on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Central Park Lodge on Poseidon.
