Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE EDITH MACLEAN On July 9, 2007, Olive Edith MacLean, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Olive is lovingly remembered by her children Harold, Sharon (Jim), John (Mary-Anne), and Darlene. Olive is also survived by six brothers. Olive was predeceased by her husband Eric, brother Lloyd, daughter-in-law Ericka, and granddaughter Jen. Olive was born July 14, 1925, in Selkirk, MB. She resided in Hecla Island until 16 years of age when she came to Selkirk to work. It was shortly thereafter that she met Eric MacLean. They were married in April 1946. They resided in Selkirk as well as at the farm in Peguis, MB. Her most enjoyment in the work field was helping others which she did for many years at Red River Nursing Home. Olive spent many hours knitting, baking, and making vinarterta which she truly loved doing. Olive's greatest moments were spent with her entire family being together for special occasions. Olive enriched the lives of all who knew her. Always a smile for everyone. Olive lived her life with faith and love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Olive's pallbearers will be her grandsons Jeff, Curt, David, Cameron, Wes, and Eric. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior, at The Springs Church, 479 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB, with pastors Jacquie Fontaine and Ernest Goertzen officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined; however, donations will be greatly appreciated in Olive's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Rock Fontaine Funeral Director in care of arrangements.
