IAN WOOD October 31, 1914 - July 10, 2007 Passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre. Loving father of Larry (Lily) of Calgary and Wendy of Winnipeg; grandfather of Brent (Leanne), Lesley Tozer of Calgary and Jason (Nelly) of Monterrey, Mexico and great-grandfather to 12. Ian was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy (Cook) in 1996. Dad was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and moved to Winnipeg at an early age with his parents, George and Helen Wood and his three sisters, Irene, Florence and Joyce. Dad was employed with the T. Eaton Co. for 50 years, working until his retirement in 1979. Ian and Dorothy were married on November 1, 1941. Mom and Dad resided almost all their married lives in Charleswood, moving there following dad's service in the Navy in the Second World War. Dad was a charter member of the Charleswood Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and was also a member of the White Ensign Naval Club. Dad loved his summers spent at Otter Falls and Golden Acres with the Roblin Park Gang - fishing and spending time with his family and many good friends.
