ELSIE FORMANIUK It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elsie Formaniuk on July 9, 2007 at the age of 81 years at the Concordia Hospital. On January 4, 1926 Elsie Formaniuk (Wychristie) was born in Hnausa, Manitoba. Elsie married Harry Formaniuk on April 26, 1941 and they had six children, Michael Formaniuk (deceased), Ronald Formaniuk (deceased), Helene (Ken) Loewen, Stephen (Karen) Formaniuk, Harry (Cheryl) Formaniuk and Katherine Marie Formaniuk (deceased). Elsie had survived her husband Harry, who passed away on February 8, 1993. Harry and Elsie were married for 52 years. She is survived by; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren (and one on the way), as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Elsie and Harry took up farming in Rivercrest, Manitoba after their marriage and raised their six children. Elsie was a great partner for Harry in that she kept the family and farm going during the day while dad worked at other jobs until the farm was able to produce an income, at which time they both became full-time farmers. Even with mom and dad being so busy they still had time for the children and families. Elsie was an only child and greatly enjoyed her new found big family that she married into. Elsie and Harry enjoyed their lives together for 52 years before Harry passed away. Thank you mom for all your love, support and great times we have shared together. The funeral service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing one-half hour prior to service. Interment will follow at the Garden of Everlasting Life, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Pallbearers are grandsons, Ronnie Bedard, Dirk Formaniuk, Randy Bedard, Josh Formaniuk, Steven Formaniuk Jr., Kevin Formaniuk and granddaughters Kim Bramhill (Helene's) and Tammy Formaniuk (Stephen's). Honorary pallbearers are Helene and Ken Loewen, Stephen and Karen Formaniuk, Harry and Cheryl Formaniuk and Emil Sticki. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors for the kindness and help mom received at the Concordia General Hospital. Mom will be deeply missed!
