DONALD WILLIAM SHIPLEY September 17, 1946 - July 13, 2006 The Builder's Tools Lie Silent The builder's tools lie silent at the ending of the day. The hammer does not ring out, the saw is put away. The level is discarded, the whispering wind is near, The sun is gently fading, a loon cries do not fear! Your time on earth has ended, with tears we let you go. So many lives you've brightened, a part of us says no. This can not happen to you, but you have moved away. God wrapped you in His arms of love; we wish you could have stayed, But there is something better and one day we'll journey too; As we hear the Father speaking Child your time on earth is through. ...M.
