Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) ROBERT MCEWEN January 27, 1935 - July 5, 2007 With all his girls by his side, Bill McEwen passed away at the Neepawa Memorial Hospital after a brief fight with cancer. Bill was born in Winnipeg, the only son of William and Mabel (nee Jardine) McEwen. He was educated in Winnipeg then worked for Dominion Bridge and Polesystems. In 1955 he married his life long partner Gloria (Tait) and lovingly raised a family. After many years living in Winnipeg, together they moved to Neepawa where Bill enjoyed a few good years of farming. The next move was to Brandon where he worked for Simplot until he retired in 2000. He then started restoring computers and donating them all around the Westman and Winnipeg area, this was something he really enjoyed doing and with all the thank you letters he received he knew it brought joy to others as well. Bill's family was the most important thing in his life. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria; his children, Douglas (Monika), Bill (Avril) and Valerie (Darrell) LeBoutillier; grandchildren, Joshua (Jenny) McEwen, Scott and Steven McEwen, Katherine and Amanda LeBoutillier (Justin Kaspick); great-grandchildren, Shea and Eli McEwen, Hanna and Kyra LeBoutillier-Kaspick; sister Mary Walker; brother-in-law Bill Nicholas and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Cathy Nichols. According to his wishes there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Bill to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association, Ste. 1101 - 191 Lombard Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3X 0X1.
