N. YVONNE JAWORSKI (nee Brown) February 22, 1923 - July 12, 2007 Peacefully, on Thursday, July 12, 2007, with family and friends by her side, Yvonne welcomed death with the same headlong spirit with which she had enjoyed life. Survived by Joseph (Joe), her husband of 59 years; her children, Betty Van Walleghem (Bob), Lyall (Marsha), Angie Dunn (Terry), Jim, John, and Teresa Clefstad (Oren), Susan Jaworski, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Who was Yvonne Jaworski? A lifelong Manitoban, she grew up in Sperling, MB, the only child of Lynnie and Arthur Brown. She moved to Winnipeg and worked for Great West Life and The Bay. She met and married Joe in 1948, and began her journey as a wife and mother. A musician herself, she loved all music and was richly rewarded by the musical talents of her children and grandchildren. Had the family gathered on one stage, it would have been possible to present a Jaworski Family Concert, complete with piano, organ, guitars, drums, and accomplished vocalists. All who knew Yvonne saw her as a friend. She had a sunny disposition and always found the best in everyone who passed her way. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, always ready to serve. Most important, she was a mother and her pride and love for each of her children was apparent at all times. She once remarked her children were her legacy and her claim to fame. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her and most certainly by her friend/sister Barbara. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Special thanks to all nurses and staff at the Riverview Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, 1031 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, MB, R3G 0R8. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.glenlawn.ca Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
