DORIS EILEEN MCCARRON July 11, 1916 - July 7, 2007 On Saturday, July 7, 2007, Eileen, wife of Jim McCarron, passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital at the age of 90 years. Remaining to forever cherish Eileen's memory are her husband Jim; daughters, Noreen Chambers of Calgary, Lauraine Chambers Bebe (Norm) of the Yukon; granddaughters, Kareen Chambers of Winnipeg, Donna Besau (Terry) of Ontario; grandson Geoffrey; great-granddaughter Kyley Besau; as well as in-laws, Kris Ritter and Anne Strock. She was predeceased by her parents Jim and Jessie Milne; her first husband Norman Chambers; daughter Vicki; and son Ken. Born in Toronto, Eileen and her family moved to Winnipeg when she was five years of age. Raised in Manitoba, she met and married Geoffrey Norman Chambers in 1940 and with him raised their four children, Noreen, Vicki, Kenneth and Lauraine, until Norman's passing in 1960. In 1967 Eileen married again to Jim McCarron and graced his life for 40 years. Eileen was a member of the Fort Garry Br. No. 90 Legion for 25 years as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and as an Associate Member and was the first Lady of the Branch for six years. She enjoyed the camaraderie and sports with so many friends and was grateful of the friendship and caring of so many members. In compliance with Eileen's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held and a private family service will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank the paramedics and the staff at the Grace Hospital for the compassionate and gentle care of our wife and mother. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Eileen's memory to the Fort Garry No. 90 Beneficiary Fund, 1125 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2A3.
