FLORENCE (BUNTY) HILLIS 1917 - 2007 A woman of many names - Florence, Bunty, Mom, Mother, Buddy but perhaps most unique was Hawkeye Hillis. Known for her selfless enjoyment of others, Bunty was a loving faithful wife to Wilfred who predeceased her in 1981, mother to Paul (Pauline), David (who predeceased her in 1998), Laurie (Ron), and Nancy. She was a loving grandmother to Kraig (Pam), Kellie (Maurice), Susie and Rosie (Wes); a caring great grandmother to Zackery and Madison, Taylor Jane and Drake. Peacefully Bunty passed in her sleep on June 30, 2007. Bunty and the Hillis family are appreciative for the loving care she received at the Luther Home which she called her home for the past four years. Summers at the cottage in Manigotagan, cats, hot dogs and chippies, baking and friends were her loves in life. She will be dearly missed by the many who loved her and who will keep her memory alive in their hearts. We will miss you Hawkeye. A Celebration of her life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2007.
