GORDON VICTOR HARDE June 20, 1927 July 13, 2007 Gordon Victor Harde, beloved husband of Margaret Harde of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on July 13 at the age of 80. Gordon leaves to morn his wife Margaret; his daughters, Deane Lamoureux and Carolyne (Rene) Corbel of Miami, MB. from a previous marriage; stepdaughter Marshia (Larry) Arnal of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; three grandchildren, Loretta, Dwayne and Douglas; five great-grandchildren; sister Hazel Dicke of Vermillion, AB and Gladys (Jim) Barclay of Winnipeg, MB; brothers, Keith (Sharon) Harde of Canora, SK. and Ken (Leola) Harde of Innisfail, AB. One of Gordon's greatest passions in life was farming and his Morgan horses which he owned and raised for over 40 years. Gordon was an active member of the Opawaka Church Board, Miami Agricultural Society and Morgan Horse Club. He was well known in Winnipeg and Morden and surrounding areas for his team of Morgans and for escorting Brides and Grooms by buggy and participating in parades, farm celebrations and sleigh rides in the winter. He handed over the reins on September 9, 1989 when he married his loving wife, Margaret Cowan (nee Harris). After retiring from the farm, they resided on an acreage in Morden, MB. Until November 11, 2006 due to Gordon's failing health they moved to Fort Saskatchewan, AB. To be closer to Margaret's daughter, Marshia (Larry) and family where his personal needs were looked after. Gordon had a great love and strong faith in God. He was kind-hearted and a true gentleman by nature. He was a fine, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be so greatly missed.
