MARY HAPKO (nee BREZENO) 1921 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on July 12, 2007 at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home at the age of 85. Mary will be sadly missed by her husband Rudolph of 54 years; daughters, Gayle Todd (Douglas), Cheryl, Carol, Leslie Washook (John), Lenore Pelowich (Kerry), Glenda; grandchildren Andrea Moser (Nicholas), Randall Todd, Donald and Kathleen Washook, Tyler and Stacey Pelowich; great-grandson Rudy Moser. Mary also leaves to mourn her sisters Anne and Pauline as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Dora; infant sons, Donald and Kenneth; brothers, Michael and Joseph and sister Frances. Mary was born in Pine Ridge, MB, on November 15, 1921 and later moved to Springwell, MB. In 1952 she married Rudolph and moved to the family farm in Brightstone where she raised six daughters. She moved to Lac du Bonnet in 1992 and then to Winnipeg in 1999. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was known as the social butterfly . She adored her grandchildren and great-grandson and loved gardening, decorating, cooking and keeping busy. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethania Haus and Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home for their wonderful care. Funeral services will he held on Tuesday, July 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E., Beausejour, with Rev. Fr. Pierre Wood officiating, with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home. We love you. You are in our hearts forever. We will all be together one day.
