KATARYNA KRALKA (nee BUNDA) Peacefully, on Sunday, July 15, 2007, with her dear friends Maria and George at her side, Kataryna passed away to be with her Creator. Kataryna leaves to mourn her sister Stefania and brother Wladek; numerous nieces and nephews all in Poland. She was predeceased by her husband Paul; son Roman; parents Vasyl and Tekla. Kataryna was born in Korni-Rava Rushka, Western Ukraine, on August 28, 1928, the eldest of three children. In 1960 she immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada, where she met and married Paul Kralka. Kataryna's interests included being a homemaker, enjoying the tasks of cooking, cross-stitch and gardening. She was also a longtime member of Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church. Friends of Kataryna wish to thank the nursing staff of Misericordia Health Centre, Unit Cornish 2, for their kind and compassionate care. This is where Kataryna spent the last four months of her life. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19 at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave., with Fr. M. Gnutel officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kataryna's memory to a charity of one's choice.
