Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREGINALD (KENNETH) SPICER Surrounded by his wife and sons, Ken passed away on the afternoon of July 13, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre M.I.C.U. Ken will be lovingly missed by his wife of 47 years, Pat; sons, Ken (Kathy), Bob (Rachel), and granddaughter Nicole; his sister Bev (Bill); half brothers, Wesley, Des and Harold and their families. Also he will be missed by the Ulasy and Tanasychuk families. He was predeceased by his parents Florence Benoit in 1997 and Reginald Spicer in 1977. Ken was born on April 7, 1939 in Winnipeg and grew up in St. James and West Kildonan. In his early teens he joined the Air Cadet League in which he played a trumpet in the band. In 1964 Ken received his mechanics licence and went to work at the AMC and Ford dealerships. Later after his heart attack in 1984 he went to work as a courier driver and was known as the Old Grouch . We would like to thank Dr. Jack Lezack, nurses, Laurie and Jan at the Seven Oaks Hospital Oncology for four years of excellent care. Also Dr. S. Armstrong ACF Medicine at St. Boniface, Dr. James Johnston at CancerCare Manitoba, Dr. J. Wong and Dr. A. Luis at M.I.C.U. at Health Sciences Centre and their nurses for their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Saturday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ken's memory to CLL Research at CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Hello Pat, Bobby and Kenny. I am very sorry for your loss and wish I could be there with you. Ken was a great big brother as I was growing up, I always looked forward to his visits. Later in life I would see Ken bombing around town delivering packages and he would always stop to talk and want to know how everyone was doing. Although we have not spoken for several years, I will sadly miss Ken as he reminded me very much of my dad. I wish you all the best and hope we can get together.
