VERONICA KULA Peacefully, on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, surrounded by her loving family, Veronica went to be with Jesus. To cherish her memory, she leaves her dear husband Peter, her daughters Janice and Allyson, son-in-law Victor Bernardin and grandchildren Gabrielle, Ariane and Thomas. She is also survived by her sisters Bernice Leochko and Evelyn (Dennis) Wizniak, and her brothers Edward and Joseph Hotz. Veronica was predeceased by her parents Paul and Frances Hotz, sister and brother-in-law Peter and Louise Leochko, and brothers Carl, Stanley and Walter Hotz. Veronica was born on September 25, 1947, and raised in Cooks Creek. After graduating from TCI, she was employed by Great West Life. She married Peter on August 17, 1968. They built a house of love in the country near Anola where they raised their two daughters. Her special gift was the hospitality she showed while hosting and entertaining many friends, family and visitors, but she also treasured the quiet moments at home in the yard with her husband and family. Their place became the site of many special family gatherings and times. Her fondest desire was fulfilled when she became a grandmother. Everyone knew she loved being a grandma and her grandchildren were blessed by her love, special touch and sense of play. She had a very strong faith which she expressed through much service, especially to the children and youth of Holy Trinity Parish and then of Our Lady of Hope Parish. She will be remembered for her ministry of presence by the way she listened to and connected with people. Her special touch was also felt by all the people she encountered through her work in Beausejour at Bellan, Wasylin and Associates. She was a walking saint on earth. She offered up her suffering in silence and suffered in dignity. She taught us how to live life fully - to appreciate life and to celebrate everything. Her compassion and love was a reflection of Jesus' love to us. She was very precious and we will miss her special touch. Those who saw her saw her outward beauty; those who knew her saw her inner beauty. Prayers will be held on Friday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Anola, MB. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m., also at the church, with Rev. Fr. David Brabant presiding. Interment will follow at the Eastdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady of Hope Memorial Fund. We love you very very much XXX OOO SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB toll free 1-877-776-2220
