Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES MARLIN MONKMAN November 27, 1945 - July 14, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, and soon to be great-grandfather early Saturday morning, July 14, 2007 at his home at the young age of 61. Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and best friend Lorraine, and seven children, Darrin (Kim), Tracey, Kenny (Virginia), Jason (Alex), Leslee (Matthew), Sheena (Arthur) and Kelan; his seven grandchildren, Shauna, Dylan, Leah, Kaydence, Jacob, Gavin, and Nicholas. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Irene (Cecil), Olga (Raymond), Delia (Richard), Breena (Bill), Anne (Andrew), Valerie (Eddie) and brothers Johnny (Rita) and Steven. He will also be sadly missed by numerous extended family members and good friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents Louisa and Jerry, his twin brother Jerry, his brothers Norman, Dan and sister Lillian. Jim was born and raised in Vogar, MB and moved to Winnipeg where he lived the remainder of his life. Jim was a jack of all trades who enjoyed the simple life and was a private person who was happiest just being with his children, grandchildren and family. Sitting around playing cards, watching sports, cooking and reminiscing, Jim always had a funny or crazy story to tell. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed his computer. Everyone he met became a lifelong friend and he felt thankful and blessed to have had so many people in his life. A wake service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at his brother John Monkman's residence in Vogar beginning at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at John's residence in Vogar. Interment to follow in the Vogar Anglican Cemetery. arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. Ashern - Lundar (204) 768-2072
