DOREEN GRACE PENNER (nee MOFFAT) On Saturday, July 14, 2007, Doreen passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital after a hard-fought battle with complications from Dermatomyositis, at the age of 51 years. Remaining to forever cherish Doreen's memory are her parents, Andy and Lorna Moffat; brother Doug Moffat; Doreen's son Jason (Vancouver); daughters, Kristen and Sandy; and husband Jim (Winnipeg). Doreen was born in Winnipeg, March 23, 1956, and was married February 21, 1976. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Doreen's accomplishments in life were many; however, the most important accomplishments remain visible in Jason, Kristen, and Sandy. Doreen was the wings beneath our feet. She will be forever loved and cherished. Due to the extended time in the ICU at Victoria General Hospital, the family had decided to have a quiet family service which was held on Wednesday, July 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue. The entire family wishes to extend their love and appreciation for the dedication and loving expert care which the staff of the Victoria General Hospital ICU provided.
