PATRICIA LOUISE OLSON (MORRISON) February 5, 1919 - July 16, 2007 Predeceased by husband Peter in 1986; brothers, Norman, James, Ian; sisters, Ruth, Grace and Marj. Survived by brother Lloyd (Stella), children, James (Pat), Kelowna; Susan, Surrey; and Shirley (Brian), Winnipeg. Amma to Chris (Judah), Erica (Kevin), Edric, Laura and Thomas. Patricia was born in North Battlefield, SK, to Charlie Morrison and Vera Silcox, youngest daughter of eight children. The family moved to Deloraine, MB, when Pat was a child. She was blessed with caring parents, and a home that always had room for friends. Pat went through nurses' training at Brandon, graduating in 1945. She met Peter, a war veteran, at Gimli, where she was the nurse at the Fresh Air Camp - they married October 5, 1945. Mom had a long career as a specialist nurse, matron of Altona and Birch River hospitals, and a nurse at Gimli Hospital, and Betel Nursing Home, Gimli. Pat and Peter retired to Westbank, BC, in 1979, and had a very happy and active time, enjoying the weather and many visitors. Even with her busy life, Mom joined the Minerva Ladies (Gimli), played bingo at the Legion and cribbage with Peter, Humphrey and Inga. She will be remembered for her love of children, wonderful sense of humour, great stories and famous cinnamon buns. Please join us in a celebration of remembrance on Wednesday, July 25 at Windsor Park United Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Gimli Cemetery on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
