KAREN LYNN KLOOS It is with profound sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of our beloved Karen on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre, Women's Hospital at the age of 47 years. Remaining to forever cherish Karen's memory are her loving husband, best friend and soul mate, Peter; brother Edward; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws. She was predeceased by her parents George and Emily. Born in Winnipeg on July 13, 1960 to George and Emily Bordush, Karen grew up in the North end of the city. Graduating from St. John's High School, later she completed training as an EKG technician. Karen was employed by Cadham Provincial Lab and will be missed by her many friends and co-workers. She had an outgoing personality and made friends with whomever she met. Karen and Peter fondly cherished memories of their travels with Val and Steve to Hawaii, Florida and the Caribbean as well as time spent at the cottage in the Whiteshell. Karen's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. in the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. Many thanks to Oma, Opa, Walter, Shirley, Leona and Val for all their care, assistance and support during Karen's illness. Special thanks to Lorraine, Karen's surrogate Mom, who provided unconditional support and encouragement despite her own illness. Thanks also to all Karen's friends and co-workers at Cadham Lab, namely Mary, Laura, Bev and Jan for their support during this very difficult time.
