DORIS IRENE LAFRENIERE Peacefully, on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at the Riverview Health Centre, Doris LaFreniere, passed away at the age of 82 years. Doris was predeceased by her husband Raymond LaFreniere in 1997. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Stan Storaschuk of Kamloops, B.C., Shirley (Doug) Fisher, Judy (Larry) Moreau; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Roberta Link of Neepawa, Manitoba. She was a long active member of the Fort Rouge Imperial Vets Branch #252, and spent many years at Lee River with her family and friends. She worked for the Riverview Health Centre for over 20 years. She spent seven winters in Weslaco, Texas with her husband Ray. She loved her family gatherings and loved cooking and baking for them and friends. She was a Bingo Queen. She was always a happy-go-lucky individual. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Doris’ wishes a Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #252, 426 Osborne Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Doris to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
