Herb is survived by three sons, Daniel, Jason and Michael Filz; brothers, Otto, Jr. (Lucy), Fred (Carol) and Erich (Julie) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Otto, Sr. and Rosina Filz and his beloved sister Mila Gastl. A small private ceremony was held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel on July 19, 2007 and he was interred with his mother Rosina at Assumption Cemetery. He was a great man with a big heart and he will be missed.
