MR. EVARISTO TORMON 1918 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Evaristo Ernie Tormon after a brief period of illness at Seven Oaks Hospital. Dad died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 20, 2007, at 1:27 a.m. To cherish his memory and celebrate his life, Dad leaves our loving mother and his faithful wife Lourdes of 62 years. Dad has been a wonderful and proud father. He will be sadly missed by his children, Elena Tormon, Merla (Rene) Tronco and children, Emmanuel, RJ, and Louriza, Bert (Dece) Tormon and children, Nancy (Al) and Norce (Nick), Luna (Ron) Tubongbanua and daughter Ronna, Neil (Tess) Tormon and children, Mark and Kim, Elvie (Cyril) Parrenas and children, Matthew and Lumiere, Fatima (Rick) Quezon and children, Arianna and Arabella, all of Winnipeg. Dad will also be lovingly missed by his daughter in Australia, Lorna (Greg) dela Cruz and children, Gela (Marlon) and Louigie, Glenda (Dennis); and other children, grandchildren and families in the Philippines. Dad was born on October 26, 1918, in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 1986. He was a retired Philippine government employee and was in the Philippine Army (Veterans) and was honorably discharged from the USAFE. At the age of 88, he was still very active, full of energy and always loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed reading newspapers daily, watching TV, gardening and traveling to Texas, California, Australia and Philippines. Special thanks to Dad's longtime family physician, Dr. Eddie Malabanan, to Fr. Dado and Mama Marina Parrenas for their support and prayers and to his adopted family, Beth and John Manzano and children for all their services. Dad, thank you for everything, we love you and we will miss you. You will remain in our hearts forever. Lamay will be held at Knysh Funeral Home, 1020 Main St., July 28 and 29, Saturday and Sunday, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Funeral service will be held at St. Edwards Church, 818 Arlington St., July 31, Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Philippines. Family Owned and Operated KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
