ROBERT ANDREW FINNEY March 23, 1957 - July 15, 2007 Suddenly on Sunday, July 15, 2007, at the age of 50 years, Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Terri and daughter Andrea. He also leaves to mourn: brothers Bill of Florida, Richard (Jo-Ann), Bruce (Debbie) of Winnipeg, sisters Isobelle of Winnipeg, Anne (Dave) of Vancouver, mother-in-law Mary LaVigne of Nova Scotia, brother-in-law Trevor of Sioux Lookout and sister-in-law Sharron of Calgary as well as stepmother-in-law Rose-Marie. Robert will also be missed by several nieces and a nephew, as well as a wide circle of friends and co-workers. Robert was predeceased by his parents Robert and Janet Finney of Winnipeg, as well as his nephew Trevor Buck, father-in-law Glen Martel, and stepfather-in-law Peter LaVigne. Robert grew up in Winnipeg, but spent most of his adult life in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. He worked for over 20 years as a butcher and most recently worked for Canada Post. Besides his family, Robert's lifelong love of nature and fishing was apparent to the end. A celebration of Robert's life was held at St. Andrew's United Church on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with Donna Prior officiating the service. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Strings Across The Sky Charity or the David Suzuki Foundation through the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home, Box 1449, Sioux Lookout, ON P8T 1B9.
