ETHEL ANNIE DOELL We are very sorry to say Ethel has passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in Selkirk, MB at the age of 75 years. Ethel was born in Winnipeg on February 5, 1932, the only child of Dorothy Greenwood and Thomas Ormond. She went to Principal Sparling and finished her schooling at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. She was at CGIT leader for many years in Winnipeg. She also belonged to RCL #42 in Selkirk and a founding member of the over 60 Club and president for two years. She was very proud of belonging to both. She married Frank Doell on May 18, 1986, her best friend and loyal companion. They had a happy life and did everything together. She leaves three children from a former marriage, Linda Ross (John) of Virden and their two children, Danny and Patrick; Thomas Halldorsson (Ruby) of Edson, Alberta and their three children, Marci, Meagan and Cheryl; Diana Lynn of Bissett and her daughter Charity. Ethel also leaves six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; two step-sisters who became very close, Janet (Abe) and Beverly, both of California; her niece Connie (Raymond) who became like a daughter to her; also her two special kids Brian and Bev of Selkirk and last but not least her little boy Charlie. Because she was a flier for many years she was proud of her daughter Diana who also became a flier. She will always fly with Diana and be the wind beneath her wings.' When they fly they will always be in God's country. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB with Rev. Colin McIver officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
