ROY OSTERBECK June 23, 1910 - July 25, 2007 Peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, Roy passed away at the Grace Hospital. Roy is survived by sister Doreen Carlow, brother Clayton and wife Dora, brother-in-law James Calderwood, cousin Minnie (Carl) Klimpke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his mother Steffie and father Peter, brother Jacob (Jean), sisters, Alida (Gordon) Kirkpatrick and Loreen Calderwood and brother-in-law William Carlow. Born in Hillversum, Holland, Roy came with his family to Canada in 1911. The family settled in Winnipeg and later moved to Saskatchewan where Roy began farming. He continued farming in Manitoba and resided in Winnipeg. Special thanks to Sarah Moshenko and Brian Stephenson as well as the staff of 5 North at the Grace Hospital. A Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to CancerCare MB.
