EVANGELINE FRASER After a lengthy battle with cancer, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister Evangeline on July 29, 2007, at Misericordia Place. Evangeline was born February 1, 1929, in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Ian Fraser in 1992, her mother-in-law Ethel, her parents Michael and Mary Burak, four brothers John, William, Victor and Marion, brother-in-law George in Calgary, sister-in-law Alice, aunties and uncles. Evangeline is survived by her sister Michaelda in Calgary, brother Joe, sisters Anne, Helen, and Josephine, nephews, nieces, cousins and stepchildren, all in Winnipeg. The family wishes to thank the staff at Misericordia Place, level 1, for the loving care they gave Evangeline. Also many thanks to John, who was always there for the family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Home with Rev. David Widdicombe officiating. A reception will follow in Thomson Funeral Home reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evangeline's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg Manitoba, R3E 0V9.
