NANCY ELIZABETH ROSE With family surrounding her bedside, Nancy passed away from a long and tiring battle, winning her fight with Leukemia. Nancy died of complications from Pneumonia on Friday, July 27, 2007, two days shy from the day of diagnosis. Remaining to forever cherish Nancy's memory are her strong and wonderful husband David Rose; children Candice (Kevin) Rosger, Davina, Reid and little Matthew; parents Dan and Eva Hawkins; in-laws William and Jeanette Rose; brothers-in-law Kevin and Bill; sister-in-law Corrina Rose; siblings Wayne (Louise) Hawkins, Eileen (Brad) Ball, Dan (Paulette) Hawkins, Rick (Jan) Hawkins, Lisa (Dwight) Hawkins-Hildebrandt with many nieces and nephews, Thea (Scott), Tobi (Mike), Chad (Barb), Jenna, Brittany, Joe, Jordon, Brandon, Amanda, Allan, Jessica, Eric, Justin, Stephen, Jason, Shawn, Steven, Janette, Kenneth and numerous family members and friends. She was predeceased by Lisa Rose and Tommy Hawkins. Nancy was born in Winnipeg but grew up in Shilo, Manitoba. From this tight knit community many lifelong friendships were made. Stories being shared and told with these friends if you were lucky enough to hear them were adventures of the young brave and sometimes outlandish but always entertaining. Nancy being a free spirit with an easy smile made time spent with her a guaranteed good time and some of the hardest laughs you could have, knowing that she could find the humour in any situation. She loved to cook and bake for her family, if you got the chance to taste her food you made sure you were around for her next invite to her table to share in the excellent food, drink and company. Indulging in her children Nancy was enjoying watching them grow knowing time was of the essence. In her own sweet way Nancy let us know we were loved by her and we are honoured to have spent the time we did with our Wife, Mother, Daughter and Sister. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard at Grant Avenue, with Padre Lance Magdziak presiding. A private family interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery. Our heart felt thanks goes out to the D6 at Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare Manitoba and all the staff for their wonderful support. In lieu of flowers, donations to a trust fund for the children have been set up. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
