WALTER SHURA On Sunday, July 29, 2007, while surrounded by his family, Walter Joseph Shura, aged 78 years, passed away peacefully at the Beausejour Hospital. Walter is survived by his son Peter and Kim; daughters, Marilyn and Ernie Kulczycki, Sharon Bruneau, Donna and Les Schichl, Debbie and Loren Schinkel and Connie Shura. He was a very proud papa to Sandra (Bill Bland), Shane (Koreen Bruneau), Lisa (Rob Oakes), Evan Schichl, Luke Schinkel, Michael and Kristen Kulczycki, Misty, Sheena and Chelsey Shura. Also great-papa to three great-grandchildren, Jett and Payton Bland and Chase Bruneau. Walter is also survived by his brother Joseph Shura of Lac du Bonnet; and two sisters, Genevieve Shura and Mary Hynes of Toronto, ON. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mabel; daughter Sandra; as well as his sister Betty Bain of Toronto, ON; and his parents Peter and Anna. The celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lac du Bonnet Community Centre with Pastor Glen Krentz officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Bruneau, Evan Schichl, Michael Kulczycki, Luke Schinkel, Rob Oakes and Chris Kinghorn. Honorary pallbearers will be George Boyer, Lorne Szmerski, Clint Bruchanski, John Kyne, Gary Potts, Guy Nolin and Rod Janisch. The family would like to thank Dr. Nick Van Rensburg along with the nursing and support staff at the Beausejour Regional Hospital for the compassionate, considerate care they provided dad.
