LENA ROCKALL-McFARLAND April 21, 1907 - July 30, 2007 Peacefully, on July 30, 2007 Lena passed away at Oakview Place at the age of 100. Lena was predeceased by her first husband George Albert Rockall; her second husband Sanford McFarland; sons, George William, George Henry, Ken, Syd, and Art. Lena will be remembered by her children, Gordon, Shirley (Preben) Laursen, and Rose; grandchildren, Don, Barbara, Kathy, Brent, Ernie, Dana, Albert, and Marie; Lena will also be missed by her sisters, Pearl, Molly, Olga, Kay; as well as many great-grandchildren. Lena was born and raised in Elphinstone. She lived in Cardale where she raised her family. She later moved to Headingley where she lived until the age of 97. Lena loved dancing, cooking, and yardwork; she even won some prizes for her cloverleaf buns. She was happiest when her family was around, her sense of humour will be missed by all of us. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with an interment and reception to follow. The family would like to give a big thank-you to the staff at Oakview Place for all the heartfelt love and care given to Mom.
