Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE PETTYPIECE With great love and fond memories, the family of Marguerite Pettypiece announces her peaceful passing to the Lord on July 30, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Knowing Marguerite, we believe she will continue to offer her love and support to her 90-year-old mother, Murielle Pettypiece and her two daughters, Sarah (Marty) Rabu and Kyra (Rick) Zimmer. Gramma will be affectionately remembered by her five beautiful grandchildren; her generous spirit was and will continue to be an inspiration to Brookee, Amy, Landon, Kandra and Cody. Marguerite grew up surrounded by loving relatives and many friends who will now cherish her memory. Now her graceful and loving spirit joins her father, Hubert Pettypiece (1994) and her brother, Murray (1947). Born in Boissevain, Manitoba on July 24, 1939, she grew up on the family farm in Ninga and attended the School for the Deaf in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After graduation, she moved to Winnipeg where she worked for 35 years until her retirement in 1998. She lived her life to the fullest and showed great love for life by curling, playing baseball, babysitting her grandchildren, attending their sporting events, and volunteering. She loved to learn something new each day. When you met her, she always had a warm smile, shared stories of the day and had boundless energy to tend to her family's needs. Through her illness with cancer, Marguerite showed a tremendous amount of courage and selflessness by welcoming her family and friends and greeting them with a smile and imparting her wisdom. She strived to live with dignity, courage and independence and never complained even as her body weakened. She had a youthful spirit and always managed to see the lighter side of life. Her positive outlook and attitude of gratitude were inspirational to all who knew her. As Marguerite moved through the various stages of her life she continually strived to embody His teachings - and succeeded. With her passing, friends and family have to tearfully accept that a bright, beautiful earth angel has left this world. Her suffering is over and she has her wings and now is free to fly with her beloved butterflies. She is released to the next level of her soul-path journey. We would like to extend our appreciation to the staff of the Women's Pavilion, the Grace Hospice and the St. Boniface Palliative Ward. Each of you, in your own way, contributed to the quality of mom's life and we are grateful for your care, compassion and support over the last four years of our mom's journey. Our family would love for you to come and share memories of our mother at the celebration of her life on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Refreshments will be served following the service. A private family interment will be held at the Boissevain Cemetery in Boissevain, Manitoba. If friends so desire, donations in our mother's memory may be made to the Manitoba School for the Deaf, 242 Stradford St., Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 2C9. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
