VICTOR SIGNATOVICH On Sunday, July 29, 2007, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, while in the loving arms of his wife and family, Victor was united with his Lord. He was predeceased by his precious daughter, Nancy, who welcomed him at Heaven's Gate. Victor leaves to mourn the love of his life, Elsie, his wife of nearly 63 years; his children, Pat and husband John Radstrom, Diane and husband Barry Besyk, Jim and wife Kim Ominski; his grandchildren, Toshya (Clayton), Ethan, Bjorn (Susan), Kristina (Ian), Jennifer (Brad), Bradley (Natalie), Trevor (Jen), Jeremy, Lucas and Claire; and his great-grandchildren, Devin, Brett, Mabel, Matthew, Anna, Elisa, Gavin and Aaron. Victor was born on June 2, 1923, in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba. During his life Victor took great pride in many things but none more so than his family. Their home was never too small for their growing numbers who squeezed into their tiny kitchen on Fun Fridays and other celebrations. Every Friday, the aroma of his freshly baked bread greeted his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also spent many treasured moments camping, bowling, and playing four-generation baseball games with his family. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, watching wrestling and going to the casino with Elsie. He spent countless hours tinkering in his garage where he transformed other people's junk into his own unique creations. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff from CancerCare Manitoba and the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Your kindness and care of Victor during his illness will never be forgotten. Prayers will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3 at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Avenue, with interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
