MARY GOTS Mary Gots passed on, Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 83. Born in Hungary in 1922, the first of two girls, she enjoyed friends, music and nature. She was part of many youth groups that spent much time in the outdoors, appreciating all that God had created. She left Hungary and travelled overseas in 1957, where she ended up in Brandford, ON. Still searching for something, she left for Winnipeg, where she met her (late) husband Steve (passed away February 06). They had one daughter, Marianna. They made their home in Windsor Park. Mom was a fantastic cook and had worked in many restaurants through the years, like the North Star Inn, Marlborow Inn, and the Downtowner to name a few. Prior to retirement, she managed the cafeteria in the Toronto Dominion bank's main office, not only preparing food for the staff, but as well as catered luncheons for meetings held there. After retirement, she continued to enjoy cooking, and her love of good music, gardening and pets. For the last 22 years, she lived and travelled with her daughter and son-in-law, Bob, and spent many happy weekends and vacations at the cottage which she referred to as a castle. She had also enjoyed her Monday ladies club at Park Manors, day program. She will be missed very much by her loving family including the furry ones she was Gramma to. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM FAMILY OWNED OPERATED 220 Hespeler Ave @ Henderson Hwy 668-3151
