ALICE TREMBLAY (nee ST. GERMAIN) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Alice, on August 1, 2007, at the Santa Cabrini Hospital in Montreal. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Alice will be sadly missed by her husband Fernand (Bi) Tremblay; her daughter Anne (René Paquette), grandchildren Tobie and Emily; her sisters, Rita Smith of Portage la Prairie, MB, Eva Liddicoat (Howard) of Kelowna, BC, Thérèse Carpenter-Hunter (Bill) and Margaret-Rose Risbey (Arnold) both of Winnipeg, MB; her brother Marcel St. Germain of Calgary, AB; brother-in-law Paul Larkin of Winnipeg, MB. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, step-relatives, in-laws, and many other relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by an infant daughter; her mother and father, Denise and Alexandre St. Germain; her sisters Josephine Larkin and Juliette Beaudin; brothers-in-law Walter Smith, Leo Carpenter and Earl Humphrey; and sister-in-law Rose St. Germain. Alice was born in St. Francois-Xavier, MB on January 24, 1936 and was raised at Baie St. Paul East, MB. She taught school at Deerhorn, MB. She moved to Montreal in 1957 where she met and married Fernand. Even though she resided for fifty years in Montreal, she always thought of Manitoba as her home. She loved to reminisce about the early years when her parents owned the country store and garage. Alice was a kind hearted, thoughtful and generous person who would give you the shirt off her back. She was well known for the loving notes she would write in cards to family members and friends. Alice was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the lottery, listening to country music, visiting her favourite restaurant, and long late-night telephone chats with her sisters. Dear Sister, you will be sadly missed and always have a special place in our hearts. We love you. Rest in peace. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date in Montreal
