ROBERT CONSTANT It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Constant announces his passing on August 3, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital where he has resided comfortably for the last two years. Robert was born on April 27, 1948 in Winnipeg. He attended Sacred Heart School. At a very early age you could find Robert helping and later working for his Father Lucien and his Aunt Madeleine at Constant Macaroni Products in St. Boniface. Later Robert worked for Cowin Steel in Winnipeg for 30 years until he retired in April 1998. In retirement Robert's great sense of adventure and his love for travelling by motorcycle would take him on numerous journeys across western Canada and the USA; visiting museums, close friends and always striking up conversation with new people. Robert's love for his family was always his first priority his dedication and love to his son Kenneth and daughters Christeen and Michelle was second to none. Robert was predeceased by father Lucien and mother Christeen and his special Aunt Beth. Robert leaves to mourn son Ken (Joanne); daughters, Christeen, Michelle, their mother Sharon, his wonderful dedicated brother Joseph (Lianne), nephew Liam, niece Claire, special youngster Tyler, dog Missy, members of his extended family the Constants and the Websters. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and utmost appreciation to all the staff at the St.Boniface Hospital. You have all touched Robert's heart. Memorial Service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, in St. Boniface on Tuesday August 7, 2007 at 7 p.m. Please join us in the celebration of Roberts's life. His interment will take place at Hilton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
