MARY BROWNING Peacefully, on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Portage Hospital, Mary Browning passed away at the age of 83 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband George; daughter Judy; son-in-law Ron; son David and grandson Sean. She will be lovingly remembered by Marilyn (Michael) Spillane, Carol-Anne (Terry Mills), Robert (Diane), Lori (Noel) Fitzgerald, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters Irene, Viola, sister in law Naomi, all of the extended family and her many dear friends in both Canada and Ireland. From hundreds of students in the Winnipeg School Division and many a friend who sought her advice and counsel, Mary was always available to all. Viewing will be held between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, St. Bernadette's Parish, 820 Cottonwood. Mass will also follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church. Interment will take place 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, at Assumption Cemetery. A very special thank you to the kids in Portage, the staff of Portage Hospital and all who have cared for her throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Mary to the Society of Manitobans with Disabilities.
