ALICE IRENE GRIFFIN On August 3, 2007 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's God put his arms around Charlie Grandma and called her home. Alice Irene Griffin was 87 years of age and resided at the Emerson Personal Care Home. She leaves to cherish her memory one son Allan Blair, two grandchildren Amy Dawn Lazaruk, Kimberly Dahn Friesen (Scott); great-grandchild Jordan Dale Friesen; daughter-in-law Karen Dianne Grier (Brian), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1985 and son Ronald Dale in 1980. Irene was the daughter of Frank and Alice Smith. She actively participated in many community events and was a life member of the Woodmore Womens' Institute. Irene was a dedicated farm wife and friend to all young and old. The funeral service will be held at the Green Ridge United Church on Tuesday, August 7 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
