JUVENAL VIEIRA After a short battle with leukemia, with deep sadness we announce the passing of Juvenal Vieira on August 5, 2007. He was predeceased by his wife Maria in 2001. He leaves to mourn two children, Richard and Susan (Joshua) Zielinski; grandchildren, Julianne and Mya; his brother José (Elieta) and three sisters, Zelia (Alfredo), Adriana (Fernando) and Gabriela (José) and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Juvenal was born March 13, 1947 in Sao Rogue, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal and immigrated to Canada in 1973 to begin a new life with his wife Maria. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Throughout his illness he always had a positive attitude and never gave up fighting. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba as well as the GD 6 Ward of the Health Sciences Centre. Prayers will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. with The Very Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be José Vieira, Joshua Zielinski, Fernando Costa, Terry Costa, Victor Pimentel and Antonio Fontes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Juvenal's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you and said, Come unto Me.
