ANNE KRYSTIK After a short illness Anne passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007 at Victoria Hospital. She was 82 years of age. Anne was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1983. She is survived by sons, Garry (Sharon) and their children, Alicia and Michelle; Ken and his children, Garry and Michael; brothers, John and Mike (Linda); sister Nellie (Joe), and many extended family members. Anne was born in the Ukraine in 1925. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1931 settling in St. Claude, Manitoba. After a number of years the family moved to Saskatchewan. After leaving home Anne began working in Saskatoon, eventually moving to Winnipeg. It was here that she first met Walter and they were married in 1950. They welcomed two sons into their family: Garry in 1954 and Ken in 1957. After retirement Anne enjoyed spending time with her family and especially doted on her grandchildren. Anne was an active volunteer at the Earl Grey Community Centre for many years and had many friends there. In her spare time she enjoyed bingo and bowling. The family wishes to extend a thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 5th floor of Victoria General Hospital for their care of Anne during her stay. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
