ELSIE BIBE (nee WEBER) Peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, on Sunday, August 5, 2007, Elsie Bibe passed away at the age of 78 years. Elsie was born in 1928 and raised in Morse, Saskatchewan. She lived all her adult years in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Lansdowne Avenue, first in her parents home and later, after her marriage, in her own home until she went home to her final resting place. She was predeceased by her parents John and Emilia Weber; brothers, Alexander, William and John, and her sisters, Emilia, Theresa, Marie and Pauline. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Daniel (Don) and her children, Darlene (Gordon) Grossmann, granddaughter Christine, Sharon (Raymond) Dentry, grandson Corwin and Bruce (Kathy) Bibe. Elsie's greatest joys were her family, church and friends. She loved having her grandchildren at the cottage and family time was always a must. It was always a joy to see the new craft idea emerging be it painting, candle making, flowers, cards, or decorating, the list was endless. Volunteering came naturally and was done whenever the need was seen. She will be sorely missed at St. John's Lutheran Church and the North Centennial Senior's Club where she spent many hours with friends and helping out. A Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 370 McKenzie St. on Friday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Lehman officiating. Service will terminate at the church as cremation has taken place. Special thanks to the staff at Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations in her memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of their choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

  • Great-Aunt Elsie was a beautiful lady. She had a laugh that would make you smile and feel really happy. Family was very important to her including extended family. Whenever I saw her or talked to her she had a way of making me feel like I was a special person. She had this effect on all of us. You were the last Great-Aunt. Now you are reunited with all your family and one day we will meet again........Love Marla - Posted by: marla andres (Family) on: Aug 12, 2007
