MARTHA ROSE KOHANIK Revised Date and Time It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister on Sunday, August 5, 2007, at the age 61. Martha was born December 12, 1945, at Stuartburn, Manitoba. She will be missed and forever remembered by her daughter Debbie (Don) Campbell; grandchildren, Dylan and Delaney; sister Lena Bachewich (Matt) Petrash; brother Taras Storoschuk, many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She attended school in Stuartburn, then left to work in Winnipeg at Marshall Wells in 1964. She met Karl, her late husband, in Winnipeg and were married February 4, 1967, and shared 40 years together. They raised one daughter Debbie to whom they gave great love and attention. Martha and Karl were partners in life and business. Martha had a passion for cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with husband Karl. Her grandchildren, Dylan and Delaney, were her life and brought her much joy, satisfaction and happiness. She loved to attend church services, teas and fall suppers. Martha was predeceased by her husband on December 24, 2006; her parents, William in 1982 and Maria in 1991; sister Eva in 1966, and brothers-in-law, Mike in 1989 and Steve in 1995. We, as a family, give a heart-felt thank you to the doctors and staff of the emergency and medical wards in Selkirk General Hospital, as well as to family and friends who helped in many ways during her illness at home and hospital. A very special thank you extended to her homecare workers for their caring and attention. Prayer service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Ukrainian Church, 455 Douglas Avenue, Father Cannon Walter Klimchuk officiating. The family wishes to invite everyone to join them for a time of fellowship following the service, in the St. Anne's Ukrainian Church basement. Interment to follow at the Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
