JOYCE BERNICE SACHER (GUYDA) Joyce Bernice Sacher, beloved wife of Harold Sacher of Coaldale, Alberta, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on August 5, 2007, at the age of 76 years. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her children Darlene Nash (Jose Quiroga) of Lethbridge and Gary Sacher (Angie), grandchildren Kristi (Jake Vanderwall) and Cory Nash of Lethbridge and Desire Sacher of Edmonton and great-grandson Gabriel Nash Vanderwall of Lethbridge. She is very close to numerous nephews and nieces and friends, sisters-in-law, Florence Risvold, Dorothy Miller, Clara Sacher and Jean Guyda and brother-in-law Don Sacher. She was predeceased by her mother Caroline and father Stanley Guyda as well as her older sister Evelyn and younger brother Donald. Joyce was born, raised and educated in Winnipeg. As a young woman she was an outstanding athlete and artist. She met Harold at age 16, engaged at 19 and married at age 21 in 1952. Their children were born in 1955 (Darlene) and 1959 (Gary). As a family they enjoyed going to the farm in Browning, SK, picnics at city parks, going to the beach and later summer weekends and holidays at the cottage in Kenora, Ontario. Harold and Joyce moved to Coaldale, Alberta in 1993 but still spent summers at the cottage. Joyce was loving, generous and had a sharp wit and sense of humour. She was loved by many and greatly missed by all. Family and friends may meet the family at Victory Christian Fellowship prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for viewing. Funeral services will be held at Victory Christian Fellowship, Victory Complex, one mile east of Lethbridge on Highway 3, on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Cory Nash, Dustin Guyda, Darrell Guyda, Brad Guyda, Jack Miller and Dan Sacher.
