MARGARET ANNE CRAWFORD (nee HENDRY) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Crawford on August 7th, 2007 at the age of 87. She experienced a lengthy but very courageous battle and her tremendous strength was admired by all. Margaret was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 7th, 1920. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband Harold, her two daughters, Colleen Jessiman (Duncan), Kelly-Ann Crawford (Neil), and her grandchildren Duncan (Tressa), Patrick (Alexis), Shauna, Justin and Colin. She will also be dearly missed by her younger brother Tom. She was predeceased by her brother Don. Margaret was a woman of many accomplishments, some of which include her role as the President of the St. Boniface General Hospital Auxiliary, her undeniable efforts as a Curtain Raiser (fundraiser for the Manitoba Theatre Centre) and many memorable years with the Canadian Wheat Board. She will always be remembered for her love of family, her amazingly positive attitude and her world famous desserts. Margaret had a huge heart that she shared with all, she was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed her many trips throughout the world with her family and especially her time at White Lake, Falcon Lake, Phoenix and Palm Springs. Anyone who met her will never forget her. She was the poster child for MS as she proved that you can walk and be active even after 40 plus years with the disease. She never let it stop her from doing anything. You are now an angel watching over us and will forever be in our hearts ~Her Family In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the MS Society of Canada - Manitoba Division, Suite 100 -1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, MB., R3T 1L8. The family wants to express its appreciation for all that was done for Margaret in the ICU at St. Boniface General Hospital especially its very dedicated and caring nursing staff. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Road United Church (corner of St. Mary's and St. Anne's Road) at 1:00 p.m. on August 13, 2007.
