Wilma was born and raised in Winnipeg where she met and married (Leslie) Norman Cook. Wilma and Norm were devoted to each other and remained happily married until Norm's sudden passing on November 13, 2006. Wilma is lovingly remembered by her son Barry (Barbara); daughter Pamela (Rick); grandchildren Paul, Ainsley, Jarod and Chelsey; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Wilma was a founding member of the Mark Henry Brown chapter of I.O.D.E. and remained involved for over 60 years. She was also actively involved in Sweet Adelines for many years. In her later years, Wilma particularly enjoyed daily outings and frequenting numerous local restaurants with her best friend and husband, Norm. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Monday, August 13, 2007, at 12:30 p.m., with reception to follow.
