ETTA NETTIE DUBINSKY Peacefully, after a brief illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Etta on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Poseidon Care Centre at the age of 86 years. Remaining to forever cherish Etta's memory are her Mother, Anna; niece, Janice (Barry) Norman; nephews, John, Ronald (Lori) and children Austin, Reed and Merek; as well as relatives in Slovakia. She was predeceased by her Dad, John; brother, Julius; and sister-in-law, Hedy. Born in Slovakia in 1921, Etta lived in the Elm Grove District and also in Winnipeg. Etta served in the R. C. A. F. in 1942 and was an active member of the Lutheran Church of The Cross. Etta's Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of The Cross, 560 Arlington Street, with Rev. Dr. Frank Bahr, presider. Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Poseidon Care Centre. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Etta's memory to the Lutheran Church of The Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 1Z4, or to the charity of one's choice.
