She is also survived by her brother Allan Olafson (Eleanor) and her in-laws Anton and Valdine Peterson, Frederica and Al Borys, Lillian Wlosek and Ken and Arlene Peterson as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her son Jonas Martin in infancy, her parents Jonas and Thura Olafson and her father- and mother-in-law Leifi and Snjolaug Peterson. Linda spent her early years in Arnes and received her education in Hnausa and Winnipeg. Linda and Bjarni were married on July 22, 1961. They made Selkirk their permanent residence in 1976. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her family meant the world to her. She found much enjoyment and interest in the activities of her extended family, especially those of her great nieces and nephews. Linda suffered from Lupus Disease for many years but seldom complained. She accepted with dignity the limitations Lupus placed on her life. Known for her hospitality, Linda was always ready to treat visitors to her latest delicacies and coffee. She had great affection for her pets, especially her poodle Tiffy-Tu. The family wishes to express thanks for the excellent nursing care Linda received at Selkirk General Hospital. Special thanks also to Drs. Badenhorst, Lindenschmidt and Demsas. Their compassion and kindness during this difficult time will always be remembered. A memorial service will be held at Gilbart's Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, on Tuesday, August 14 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Raymond Settee officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
