HOWARD M. FITZGIBBONS 1932 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the age of 74 years, after a brief battle with cancer at the Health Sciences Centre. Remaining to forever cherish Howard's memory are his beloved wife of 46 years of marriage, Mary; brothers, Harry (Ev) of Napanee, ON, Jim (Judy) of Kelowna, BC; many nieces and nephews; as well as Godchildren Constance and Mark and the Fleming family. Howard was a people person who made many friends during his many years as a sales representative. He was an active member of his parish and the Knights of Columbus and spent many volunteer hours on fundraising efforts. Memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Mary Mother of the Church Parish, 85 Kirkbridge Drive, Winnipeg, with Rev. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski, presiding. In Lamaline, Newfoundland, funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Parish with an interment to follow. We extend grateful thanks to the Health Sciences Centre staff, who cared for Howard and treated him with dignity and respect. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Howard's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 0S6.
