JOHN WILLIAM WELLNITZ It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear beloved husband and brother John Wellnitz on August 9, 2007 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his father Frank, mother Constance and brother Frank of Winnipeg and feline friend Jasper. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Winnie, sister Pat, step-sons Robert (Colleen), granddaughter Samantha, Quinton (Kim). Also sister-in-law Dorothy, nephew Mark and niece Mandy and their families as well as numerous cousins and friends. He will be missed by his canine friend Hooch. John was born on April 16, 1939 in Winnipeg. He worked at Bristol Aerospace for 27 years, retiring in 2002 due to ill health. He liked reading and watching his favorite daytime shows and watching Bomber games. John enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii with Winnie. A memorial service will take place on Monday, August 13 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Diane Guilford officiating.
