Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET AMY SMYTH (nee ROY) June 23, 1917 - August, 9 2007 Margaret, in her 90th year, passed away at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1987 and her parents, Jean and James and her brothers, George and Charlie Roy. She will be remembered by stepson Bob (Audrey) of Summerland, BC; grandchildren, Kevin (Marianne) and Karen; great-grandchildren, Erik and Leah, and a sister-in-law, nieces and nephews in Alberta and the USA. Margaret lived all her life in Winnipeg on Cobourg Ave, Churchill Drive, and Evergreen Place before spending the last portion of her life at the Convalescent Home. She was educated at St. Mary's Academy and Success Business College. Before she was married she worked at the Canadian Wheat Board where she made some life long friends. Margaret studied piano in her early years where she also developed a lasting friendship. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and then Riverview and Churchill Park United Churches. Margaret bowled with the CPR Supervisors club and for nearly 40 years in the afternoon league at the Park Lanes on Osborne. The family wishes to express our thanks to the staff of the Convalescent Home for their compassionate care of Margaret over the last couple of years. Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens 885-9715
